Report on the integration effort

25-02-2015

Report no. 8/2014

The report concerns the effort made to integrate refugees and immigrants that have been reunited with a family member in the Danish society.

The purpose of the report is to examine and assess whether the Ministry of Justice, the Ministry of Children, Gender Equality, Integration and Social Affairs, the Ministry of Employment, the Ministry of Education and the municipalities adequately ensure that newly arrived refugees and immigrants that have been reunited with a family member are offered participation in the integration programmes prescribed by the Integration Act. The report answers the following questions:

  • Is the registration of newly arrived aliens, who are entitled to enrol in an integration programme, reliable?
  • Are the municipalities implementing the integration effort prescribed by the Integration Act?
  • Do the Ministries of Social Affairs, Employment and Education adequately follow up on the implementation of the Integration Act?

Rigsrevisionen initiated the study in February 2014.
