Follow-up memorandums

We go through the reports prepared by the ministries in response to the issues raised in the reports and work out a memorandum to the Public Accounts Committee that informs them of the current status of each issue.

Purpose

The purpose of the follow-up memorandums is to share our assessment of the ministries’ responses to the reports with the Public Accounts Committee. We consider whether the ministries have taken steps to address and resolve the issues raised in the reports, and we recommend to the members of the committee whether  cases should be closed, or be followed up in the next report on the audit of the public accounts or the government’s administration.
