The report concerns the decision to make it mandatory for citizens and businesses to receive mail from the public authorities through Digital Post. In this context, the term public authorities refers to ministries, municipalities and regions, and underlying authorities and institutions. The Danish Agency for Digitisation has estimated the savings potential from the transition to Digital Post to approximately DKK 1 billion annually.
The purpose of the study is to assess the probability that the introduction of Digital Post will lead to public-sector savings of approximately DKK 1 billion annually.
