The purpose of the study is to determine whether the police comply with the regulations of the Danish Justice Administration Act and the guidelines issued by the Danish Public Prosecutor, when criminal cases are dropped. Rigsrevisionen also examines whether the police districts follow the same practice for dropping criminal cases and for registration of cases as incident reports for further examination. The report also addresses the supervision of the area and whether it ensures consistency in the services provided to the citizens across the police districts.
