In this memorandum Rigsrevisionen reports on the European Parliament's final ap­proval of the 2013 EU accounts.

The European Parliament has approved the 2013 EU accounts, but has expressed reservations regarding three areas in the accounts. In connection with its approval, the European Parliament comments on the accounts and on the European Com­mis­sion's and the Member States' administration of EU funds. The memorandum high­lights the comments that Rigsrevisionen considers most important and of particular interest to the Danish Public Accounts Committee:

  • Pressure on the EU budget
  • Is the money being properly spent?
  • Better control of EU funds.
