The objective of the study was to examine the business procedures and internal controls of the Ministry of Culture in relation to meetings and entertainment costs in the years 2011 and 2012. Also the independence of the minister, professional justification of costs and the general cost levels of five specific events held at The Academy for Untamed Creativity were scrutinised.
Rigsrevisionen launched the study at the turn of the year 2012/2013 at the request of the Public Accounts Committee, which had been approached by the Cultural Affairs Committee - after a consultation meeting - and asked to examine any questionable aspects of the five events referred to in the above.
