The memorandum informs the Public Accounts Committee of the main conclusions of the European Court of Auditors as presented in its annual report and audit opinion on 2012.
In addition to the main conclusion regarding the accounts, Rigsrevisionen has chosen to highlight two areas in the Court’s annual report that we find particularly important: one concerns financial corrections and recoveries and their influence on the final assessment of the error rate of the accounts; the other concerns the European Commission’s work on results and impact.
The memorandum concludes with a briefing to the Public Accounts Committee about Rigsrevisionen’s cooperation with the European Court of Auditors and the other Supreme Audit Institutions in the EU.
