Report no. 7/2007

This report deals with the environment support provided to the Arctic region by Dancea (Danish Cooperation for Environment in the Arctic). The objective of the examination has been to establish whether the Danish Environmental Protection Agency has managed the environmental support to the Arctic region in a satisfactory manner. Rigsrevisionen has examined whether the Agency has implemented the environmental support to the Arctic region in compliance with the strategy laid down by the government in 1993 and a resolution adopted by the Folketing (parliament) in 1999. Rigsrevisionen has also reviewed the Agency's follow-up on the results of the environmental support. Finally, Rigsrevisionen has examined whether the environmental support contributes to develop Greenland's environment and nature management and helps resolve concrete problems facing the environment and nature of Greenland.
