09-04-2008

Report no. 11/2007

The report concerns the universities' efforts to assure and enhance the quality of their programmes and how the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation supports this work. The examination was launched on Rigsrevisionen's own initiative in March 2007. It is the first time that Rigsrevisionen examines the quality assurance work performed by the universities in the educational area.

The purpose of the examination is to assess whether the quality assurance work in the educational field is performed in a satisfactory manner, bearing in mind that the educational programmes must at all times be of the highest standard and relevance to society.

In the report, Rigsrevisionen has examined whether the universities work with the quality of teaching and educational programmes in a satisfactory manner. Rigsrevisionen has also examined whether the fundamental framework of the universities supports the quality work in relation to teaching and educational programmes, and whether the level of support provided by the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation is satisfactory.
