23-05-2007

Report no. 11/2006

This report deals with the organisation of the supervision of civil aviation. The purpose of the supervision is to ensure a satisfactory level of flight safety in Denmark and for Danish aviation abroad. The Danish Civil Aviation Administration (CAA-DK) and the Civil Aviation Authorities of Scandinavia (STK) are responsible for the supervision of civil aviation in Denmark.

Rigsrevisionen's examination is focused on three aspects: First is CAA-DK's supervision of Danish civil aviation organised in a satisfactory manner. Secondly is CAA-DK's supervision of STK, which is again administering SAS according to an agreement entered between Denmark, Sweden and Norway, satisfactory, and thirdly is the supervision of CAA-DK provided by the Ministry of Transport and Energy adequate.
