The report deals with the training activities of the Danish Home Guard for the period 2000-2003. As an introduction, the NAOD gives an account of the regulatory framework of the Home Guard in terms of training activities. The NAOD also examined and evaluated the appropriations of the Home Guard, training expenses and membership statistics, including developments in production, operating expenses and productivity. The report also includes an account of the Home Guard’s existing and future training tasks as seen in relation to the Danish Defence Agreement 2000-2004 and the directives issued by Defence Command Denmark and the operative commands. Finally, the NAOD examined whether the Home Guard and the Ministry of Defence ensure that the legal requirements pertaining to member training and service periods, etc. have been complied with.
