Nordic and Baltic co-operation

Nordic co-operation

Rigsrevisionen co-operates with the Nordic Supreme Audit Institutions of Iceland, Norway, Sweden, Finland and the Faroe Islands. The purpose of the Nordic cooperation is to exchange views and share experiences on issues of mutual interest. The Nordic cooperation has also led to a number of parallel audits of common issues. The annual meeting of the auditor generals of the Nordic countries is organized by the Nordic contact persons and it represents an opportunity for the Supreme Audit Institutions to exchange experiences on management and development initiatives taken by the Supreme Audit Institutions.

The Nordic Supreme Audit Institutions also organize joint seminars on financial audit and HR management on a regular basis, and they draw on a Nordic communications network.

Baltic co-operation

Rigsrevisionen and representatives of the other Nordic countries co-operate with the Supreme Audit Institutions of the Baltic countries; Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and Poland. The aim of this co-operation is to exchange experiences and discuss challenges and issues pertaining to the tasks performed by Supreme Audit Institutions. The Auditor Generals of the Nordic and Baltic countries meet every second year to discuss specific pre-agreed themes, but Rigsrevisionen works closely with the Baltic Supreme Audit Institutions also outside this forum.
