Audit of European Union funds

Rigsrevisionen audits the revenue Denmark receives from and contributes to the Community budget, and issues - on the basis of its audit - an annual report and audit opinion.  The report provides a coherent assessment of the financial administration of Community funds in Denmark, which are significant and attracting much interest from the European Commission and the European Parliament. Rigsrevisionen is cooperating and sharing knowledge with the Supreme Audit Institutions of the other Member States and with the European Court of Auditors in an effort to enhance the control and management of Community funds.

Rigsrevisionen publishes two memorandums annually to the Public Accounts Committee on the European Court of Auditors’ Annual Report and the European Parliament's discharge resolutions regarding the European Union accounts. Find them here.

Rigsrevisionen also coordinates and participates in all the audits of Community funds in Denmark that are performed by the European Court of Auditors.

EU Contact Committee

The Contact Committee is an assembly of the Heads of the Supreme Audit Institutions in the European Union Member States and of the European Court of Auditors   It is autonomous, independent and non-political. The Contact Committee fosters the exchange of professional knowledge and experiences on the audit of Community funds and other issues related to the European Union. In order to contribute to the improvement of financial management of the Community budget and good governance, the Contact Committee supports, initiates and coordinates common activities within the European Union.

Rigsrevisionen participates in a number of working groups under the auspices of the Contact Committee as well as in the annual meetings of the Heads of the SAIs and the Liaison Officers.
